Day 1: Hobart - Mount Field - Pedder Lodge

Start the day with pick up from accommodation in Hobart around 8 AM.

Drive around 1.5 hours to Mount Field National Park. The focus of the day is a summit hike of Mount Field East.  With extra short walk options to see Russel Falls and Tall Trees. Finish the day with a beautiful drive to Pedder Wilderness Lodge (1.5 hrs).

Mount Field East:

Distance: 10 kms.
Time 5 hours
Ascent: 500 meters

Day 2: Mount Wedge Hike

Short 30 min drive to the 2nd days' hike, Mount Wedge. This is a fantastically rewarding hike, with sections of rainforest, low tee tree summit, and fantastic views of The South West of Tasmania. Views of Lake Pedder, Lake Gordon, the Western Arthurs, Mount Anne, and many more mountains.

Distance: 7 kms.
Time 5 hours
Ascent: 750 meters

Day 3: Pedder Lodge - Short walks - Hobart

On the final day, we can relax a bit by doing a selection of shorter walks as we make our way back to Hobart. Creepy Crawly Walk, Junee Caves, Tall trees in the Styx Valley. Or we can do one more summit hike of the Needles. This decision can be made the night before. Returning to Hobart in the afternoon.
