Day 1:

Depart Hobart between 8:30-9:00am, travel north along Tasmania's stunning east coast, stopping off at a selection of scenic views along the way. Arriving at the Freycinet National Park by midday, spend the afternoon with a guided walk to the white sands of Wineglass Bay Beach. This 6km, 3.5hr trail is one of Tasmania's great walks. 

Arrive back to accommodation at 4:00pm.

Day 2: 

Depart Freycinet at 9:00am, with a 90 minute drive back down the coast arriving at the small fishing town of Triabunna, the gateway to Maria Island National Park. Take the 30 minute scenic passenger ferry, to one of Tasmania's hidden gems. Maria, is a wildlife haven, home to many wombats, kangaroos and birdlife. Enjoy the 4km, 2 hour coastal walk to the Painted Cliffs, where we can have a picnic lunch by the beautiful hopground beach. Spend the afternoon exploring the convict ruins of the old Darlington settlement, departing the island late afternoon for the journey back to Hobart, arriving to the city by 6pm.
